Conservation
Conservation work in Bang Kachao is an ongoing process conducted by community organisations, national and international non-profits, and government agencies. The major issues affecting Bang Kachao are the over-development of land for residential purposes and excessive plastic waste (mainly brought in by the Chao Praya river).
Bang Kachao's development
While still a relatively green space, there has been significant development in the Bang Kachao area since 1985, and large areas have been deforested to build housing. Ongoing protection and the regulation of development will be essential to the area's survival as a vital green space.
